The artist has given the entirety of his twenty-five thousand pound award winnings to the trust for venues, which functions to save the Britain's small concert spaces.
The star was presented with the award on October 16 as his latest record the album was chosen as the outstanding release of the last 12 months.
Fender has decided to donate the funds to the MVT, in appreciation of the crucial part grassroots venues had in his beginning days.
"As an artist couldn't be pursuing what I am doing today if it hadn't been for all the shows I played around the region, and further afield, when I was just getting going," remarked the artist. "These spaces are legendary, but they are facing challenges."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these venues have permanently closed – approximately 16% of the entire UK sector.
Recently, major artists like Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the trust in its initiatives to support the industry, by applying a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which goes to help smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also participated, raising in excess of £100,000 on his recent tour to help numerous grassroots venues across the UK.
The donation assisted locations that were confronting potential shutdown due to challenges arising from flooding, blazes and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and sound issues.
Some locations received monetary aid in improving facilities and sound and lighting systems that helped artists and fans.
"The concept that revenue from concerts in big venues supports the smaller venues, where it all starts for artists like me, is just sensible," Fender has said.
Fender is far from the only musician to contribute his honor funds to good deeds.
In Pulp earned the trophy in 1996 for their record the album, vocalist Jarvis Cocker announced that the act would donate their prize money to the charity War Child.
During 2002, rapper and singer Ms Dynamite divided her bounty between multiple charities, like the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell organization.
"I also donated a £1,000 to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics class, because I did gymnastics when I was younger and they needed better apparatus," she told outlets.
Two years ago, the band contributed their funds to the youth organization that nurtured their act, in addition to other independent music bodies.
Additionally the 1994 recipients M People contributed their prize to a MS organization after a acquaintance was found to have the condition.
"Receiving the award was ample," stated artist the singer. "The cash was the cherry on top but we didn't need the extra, because we had the main prize. So our winning touched somebody else's life."
Last week, the MVT announced it had saved a couple of local spots in that region, by placing them under community ownership.
The first in the city and the other in the city were acquired under the community ownership initiative, which is backed by Arts Council England and supporters who purchase "shares" in the venues.
